Global Collaborations
The Powerful Means Initiative gives Notre Dame students the opportunity to honor the vision of Notre Dame founder Father Edward Sorin, C.S.C., to be a force for good and to make the world the classroom. Students engage in projects over multiple semesters – moving from idea to investment to implementation – to have a meaningful and sustained impact.
“I truly believe that projects like the Notre Dame partnership with Saint Bakhita’s are the most important type of work we can do in consulting.”

The objective of PMI is for students to go beyond simply delivering a recommendation to a partner at the end of a course; student teams collaborate with partners to build project prototypes, test them and actually launch a business. We aim to offer students a truly transformative experience, working hand-in-hand with those most affected by a challenge all the way through to implementation.
PMI partners are organizations that share our vision to empower women, improve education and alleviate poverty, and are seeking opportunities to work with students through innovation and human-centered, design-thinking principles.
